Let me tell you about Potential Personal Training.

OUR MISSION?

To improve the health & happiness of our members & local community with our fun, friendly & supportive training gym!

So far, we’ve helped hundreds of people achieve just that in our Small Group & Large Group training.

What Happens When I Get Started?

Well, before every member starts you’ll get a 1-2-1 Consultation with one of our coaches to make sure you can get off to the best possible start and make sure your experience at PPT is the best it can be. We’ll discuss specific goals and how we can help, any concerns or limitations before you start.

We want to get to know our members before they get started so we know how to help you best! We’ll then set you off with the programme to best suit you so you can get the most out of your time at Potential Personal Training.

What If I’ve got some injuries or pain?

Trust me, we’re used to this at PPT. We will discuss any injuries, pain or limitations due to medical problems etc before you get started so that you won’t be made to do anything that makes your feel uncomfortable during your training.

Our coaching team are trained in adapting our programmes to all types of injuries and pain to make sure firstly that you’re safe and stay injury free but also so that you get the most out of your sessions.

What If I’ve never exercised before?

Perfect! One of our core principles is that it doesn’t matter what your current fitness levels are, all that matters is that you get started and we meet you where you’re at and progress you from there.

We want to show you that exercise can be fun and something that you look forward to incorporating in your day to day life.

How long are the sessions?

Sessions at PPT are 50 minutes long which gives us enough time to make sure you have an effective training sessions but also makes it easy to fit into an already busy lifestyle.

How many times a week do I have to train?

This is something we will discuss with you in your consultation to make sure your training programme is fully designed to fit in and around your day to day life. We have Training packages that start from training 2 times a week all the way to unlimited training packages.

What time are the sessions?

We have sessions running from 6am-9pm Mon Fri and 8am-2pm Sat & Sun across 2 sites in Lindfield & Haywards Heath.

We have over 125 sessions to choose from across the week, our goal is to make it easy for you to be able to fit your PPT sessions into your busy schedule.

  • This is a gym I am going back to regularly and is going to be an ongoing part of my life and my wife's. I am paying more than I had at other gyms, where I got little ongoing supervision or updates on my "program", if I was lucky enough to get one at all. I work out to a level that is safe for me and is effective. With less supervision I have a tendency to not do the right thing or do to much. The instructors are all very good and encouraging. For dieting they encourage carb/ fat/ protein tracking on a phone app, which is easy. They then help with weight loss to see what kind of diet works best for you. Generally people are a bit older or much older than at other gyms. The atmosphere is fun and focused. Not everyone is fit (I am not). They have been very helpful in working around what exercises are safe for me as someone with various injuries: a scoliosis (causing a prolapsed disc), twice torn right calf muscle, plus excessive joint mobility / trapped nerve. Thumbs up 5 stars.

  • The only gym I have ever stuck with - so there must be a magic ingredient! I joined in 2015. The trainers are engaging (and often entertaining!) and will adapt exercises to meet needs. Its social, fun and has a strong community spirit! Lots of lovely people and no egos!! And, of course, the main benefit is that I feel fitter and healthier than I have done for years!

    Amazing community and more than just a gym. After struggling to get back into regular exercise after having kids I decided to try PPT and absolutely love it. The classes have so much variety and the trainers take so much care to adapt exercises for each individual. Keeping you moving is a priority and after getting a back injury they helped coach me back to fitness. The support of the community and the trainers means I've been able to make a lifestyle change as opposed to training to 'lose weight' and I love it (even the push ups).

    I have never stuck with a gym before. The trainers are all responsive and fun. They really seem to care, whatever your level of fitness. The other clients are friendly and welcoming. The classes are varied both in content and timing and you get an email reminding you that you have booked in which is the nudge I sometimes need! There's also sensible nutritional advice. It's a fantastic gym!

    I started as a client in 2016 to improve my overall fitness and nutritional awareness. At the time I remember visiting other gyms and personal training companies but there was something different about what Maxine was doing at PPT that made me give them a go - and I’ve never looked back. The coaches are brilliant they know when to push you and when you have more to give but it’s okay to work at your own pace - which can vary from session to session. The best thing about PPT however is the community that they have built. I’ve met loads of great people most of whom are serious about their fitness and wellbeing without being the atypical gym posers. I’ve got injuries (unrelated to PPT) but I’m able to work around them and ensure that I can continue and stay fit and get stronger. Their motto is “no ego, just results” - which sums my experience up brilliantly.

    Approached PPT with the aim of a quick 3 month blast to rejuvenate my fitness programming. The fact that I am still remain a member now 2 years on is testament to the professionalism and results drive by Max, Connor and the other coaches. All of my compound lifts have better form and significant increase in weight, every year is a PB year. I have introduced my wife to the gym who is a traditional gym no goer and she loves it and is getting great results. A perfect environment for anyone on any part of their fitness journey.   • I've been with PPT around 6 months - enjoying it so much that I actually want to exercise because it's fun, not because I must, and it's doing me a heap of good physically and mentally! I do strength, boxing and group circuit sessions here. As someone who's shy and dislikes intimidating, crowded gyms and clicky crossfit environments, I have spent considerable time trying to find the right place with decent facilities to establish a regular workout routine with the right support. All the staff at PPT want to understand your goals, and through their knowledge and training they help you push yourself but only to what you're comfortable with. The coaches and the clients I share sessions with are super friendly and down to earth. I've never felt like a number, or pressurised, or judged. They've got the recipe just right here, with small group classes, and with their social and community efforts, and I'm getting fit, so big yays all round!

It's an environment that is pressure-free and so enjoyable.
